Laboratory Technician
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm Friday 8am to 2pm
The Laboratory Technician role is a generalist Laboratory role, conducting day to day testing and monitoring of the chemical production environment as per the testing schedules. Working with the team, the Laboratory Technician will perform the day to day testing and monitoring of samples; Following the agreed testing guidelines as set out within departmental policy, procedures and operational practices, the laboratory technician is responsible to monitor and communicate results from testing in order that technical issues can be prevented and that the environment can be closely monitored to address issues in a timely manner.
Thiis lab role is 50/50 lab work vs physical work i.e. moving drums around, weighing out chemicals, putting chemicals into tanks, managing chemical stock as part of the role.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual testing as per the laboratory testing schedule
Make chemical additions to, and discards from, process solutions in a safe manner as per H&S instructions and procedures.
Work proactively to support production and inspection making recommendations and suggestions to address test fails in order to close technical issues in a timely manner.
Supporting quality and production during internal and external audits.
To look after laboratory equipment maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility.
Ability to work in an industrial laboratory environment
Ability to track and record data using relevant software and systems
Ability to follow and work within laboratory processes and procedures
