Typical day as our Support Worker

  • Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
  • You will provide personal centred support to our customers who experience a range of different needs including mental health, drug/alcohol addiction and offending.
  • Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
  • Cuppas, chats and catch ups. Theres no rushing from one customer to the next here Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You bring

  • Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
  • Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children
  • The ability to workon your own initiative, remaincalm under pressure and havea resilient approach
  • Recognise every customer is different and youre able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs

Our team

Youll join Senior Client Services Manager Alexand our Wilkinson Houseteam, Alex has worked in this sector for 11 years and has a wealth of knowledge around housing, when not working Alex spends majority of his time with his two children, a lovely French Bulldog called Oreo and two cats, busy household

As a team were super passionate about what we do, here at Wilkinson House we have a diverse range of skills and talents and we would like you to bring your skills to be part of developing this project,were a supportive bunch.

Job details

  • Flexible working hours can be considered.
  • Where were flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
  • Part of a two week rolling rota pattern
  • Although youll lone work, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
  • Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
