A successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / LSA who can bring a new dimension and skill set to what can be achieved in this short-term role, with potential to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school. The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will have:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
  • Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
  • Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
  • Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
