Role Overview: As an Occupational Therapist in our Frimley Park Hospital team, you will embark on a developmental journey and acquire a diverse skill set to engage in frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care framework. Your role will involve working with a wide range of clients who present varying and complex needs, employing a strength-based approach. These clients may include elderly individuals, those with learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairments, or mental health challenges. This diverse role will enhance your capabilities and provide you with a comprehensive skill set to deliver holistic occupational therapy within a social care context. You will have the opportunity to conduct assessments, such as moving and handling risk assessments, and interventions aimed at empowering our clients to lead meaningful lives within the community. Collaboration with team members and other organizations/agencies will be integral to providing an integrated service to support vulnerable adults and their caregivers in community-based settings. This community-focused role will require you to visit clients in their homes, as well as in settings such as residential care and nursing homes. Shortlisting Criteria: To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application should demonstrate:

  • A professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working within a social care, health, or community-focused multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to conduct person-centered and proportionate OT assessments.
  • Familiarity with moving and handling equipment, such as hoists and stand aids.
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and their potential impact on individuals, caregivers, and families
