As the Head of Financial Planning & Investment, you will report directly into the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Places for London and your responsibilities extend far beyond routine tasks. You will be responsible for business planning investment and funding strategies for the Places for London.

About the Role

Playing a key part in shaping the corporate structure and funding of the property function, you will directly support growth targets aimed at maximising asset utilisation and significantly increasing returns through partnering with TfL's property and strategy teams, leading on the delivery and analysis of the long term of financial business plans for external stakeholders and delivery of investment appraisal(s) and modelling for all capital projects and strategic analysis.

Strategies will cover new development opportunities and investment in existing portfolios together with the related funding, where significant input is expected into sources of capital including corporate debt and equity, alongside land sales and property disposals. This will include considerations of market and risk analysis, shaping portfolio exposure across property sectors.

About You

As the Head of Financial Investment & Planning at Places for London, an objective, impartial and confident approach, with an ability to liaise at both strategic and operational levels is essential. Your experience must extend to strategic planning and execution, where you have consistently demonstrated an ability to align objectives with organisational goals.

It is essential for you to have a proven track record in strategic analysis and providing delivery of the long-term business plans at senior/Exec level, within large, complex environments. You must have a thorough understanding of project and property development appraisals along with experience in delivering complex scenario analysis and business planning.

We are seeking an individual with a thorough approach to project evaluation. You must have substantial experience in assessing property development projects, identifying and managing associated risks. Experience of appropriate financial engagement across all senior stakeholder groups including joint venture partners, investors and lenders, is essential.

You will have an appropriate finance or business qualification, preferably CIMA, ACCA, ACA or MBA (essential).

Hybrid Working

Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.
