Community Engagement Officer Full Time Temporary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Tenant and Landlord Engagement Officer to join a North London local authority. This role is integral to the council’s corporate plan, aiming to provide a safe place called home and stand up for private renters. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of improving the management of privately rented homes within the borough through effective engagement and advocacy.
Develop opportunities across the council to engage with tenants and landlords with the aim of improving the management of privately rented homes.
Organise meetings, groups, and other platforms with internal and external stakeholders involved in private rented housing to promote good practice.
Play a proactive role in the development of policies and procedures impacting private sector tenants and landlords.
Initiate campaigns and publicity concerning the private rented sector to promote quality, safety, and security.
Design new ways to engage with landlords and tenants and make recommendations to the management team.
Experience in tenant and landlord engagement or a similar role within a local authority or housing organisation.
Experience in policy development and conducting research.
Competitive hourly rate.
