As a BI Reporting & OLAP Developer you will be specialising on Cube development.

Reporting to the Analytics Engineering lead you will be powering our core operations such as Marketing, Finance and Product.

What you will do

  • Develop and optimise cloud based cubes
  • Develop and optimise MS SSAS cubes (tabular and dimensional)
  • Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the data lake (stage) to star schemas and reporting view’s / tables and finally into SSAS.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization and be able to devise the technical solution as it relates to the business & technical requirements
  • Will be expected to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of Analysis Services
  • Maintain documentation for all processes implemented
  • Adhere to and suggest improvements to coding standards, best practices, and contribute to the improvement of these best practices

Who you are 

  • Experienced developer, used to complex multidimensional and tabular models containing multi billion rows data sets
  • Experience optimising Cube performance
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments as part of DW or BI functions
  • Advanced SQL and ability to write performance optimised queries
  • Essential ability and interest in understanding data from a business perspective
  • Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and developers
  • Proficient in MDX and DAX
  • Industry standard Data Modelling skills (i.e. Kimball)
  • Cloud based Cube technology i.e. Kyvos and PowerBI
