Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and coordinating a team of engineers and technicians across multiple locations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor the quality of work and provide technical support.
  • Planning and scheduling preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Managing and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and reports.
  • Providing leadership, training, and support to the engineering team.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services.
  • Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel across Northampton and surrounding areas.
  • Good, all round knowledge of Maintenance Management disciplines i.e. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
