Sports Teaching Assistant Sports Teaching Assistant required Barking and Dagenham School Support delivery of PE and Sports Secondary ADHD, Behaviour and mental health needs Pay negotiable Are you a graduate in Sport Science? Perhaps you are a talented Sports Coach? Do you have the ability to support learning in Sports and PE for Special Needs? If you answered yes to the above, then this is the role for you Sports Teaching Assistant / The Role: The TA for Sports will lead and support on PE lessons. You will teach a wide range of learning needs throughout the School taking Classes of Secondary aged pupils. Pupils have special needs so a talented coach is required to adapt lessons, be flexible and creative in their lesson plans for Physical education. You will be teaching Sports, Movement and Physical Education Curriculum designed to students who have barriers to learning and many of whom may have been excluded from their previous school for poo behaviour. You will encoruage students to explore their sporting skills whilst also putting enphasis on soft skills in Sports such as Team Work and Discipline, which could help these studenrts in their wider schooling. You must be a positive and energetic leader, able to engage with children and form positive relationships/rapport. You must be a role model who is able to provide good guidance to these young people and work towards more positive outcomes in their studies. Sports Teaching Assistant / The School: This School is located in Barking with excellent transport links. They provide education to children between the ages of 4 - 16 years with complex special needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. They have an amazing team who work together to provide students with a safe and secure learning environment, students behaviour is well managed and students have made above average progress in the last year. The facilities at this School are excellent including Sensory rooms, and Hydrotheraphy Swimming Pool.
