The Company:

Fendercare Marine part of the James Fisher Group is the world leader in Ship-to-Ship transfers and a major supplier of premium quality marine products around the globe, as well as offering turnkey solutions in the operation of offshore energy terminals.

The Role:

We are looking for a skilled UK based Key Account Manager to oversee the relationships of the company with its most important and valued clients.

You will be responsible for maintaining and growing our long-term key customers by developing key partnership through a deep understanding our key client’s needs.

The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.

The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager to develop and maintain existing key clients through strategy planning. The Key Account Manager will be working in tandem with the Business Development Manager to identify new markets and locations working within their client portfolio to bring additional growth to the company.
  • This will be under pinned through delivering operational excellence by supporting our offshore marine operational team to deliver the highest standards within the industry.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives Forecast, track and report defining operational progress, problems and solutions.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders Identify and grow opportunities within the account whilst maintain margins.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress projects and operations to all stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience working as a Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Reginal Account Manager with high profile clients.
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, NetSuite or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
  • Experience in the Marine & Offshore market sectors is preferable but not essential.

*The Key Account Manager will be required to travel approx. 50% of their time across the UK, Europe and international travel in line with the company account management plans.
