e-Learning Development Specialist, £38K PA, Hybrid: C.London/Remote, Perm.

A part of Thomas Telford Ltd, the commercial subsidiary of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the NEC Contract Suite is a benchmark for best practice in the procurement and delivery of work, services and supplies and it is successfully supporting the delivery of thousands of projects worldwide.

The Role:

NEC is seeking a highly motivated and creative eLearning Development Specialist to join our Learning Solution Development team. You will play a key role in developing engaging and effective eLearning solutions that support our clients' diverse learning needs and align with our organisation's strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, curate, and implement eLearning solutions using a variety of methods.
  • Work collaboratively with subject-matter experts and stakeholders to transform learning materials into interactive modules.
  • Utilise your expertise in instructional design and authoring tools (like Articulate or Adobe Captivate) to create high-quality eLearning content.
  • Manage eLearning projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest eLearning trends and best practices.
  • Participate and lead in product demonstrations and testing sessions.
  • Maintain and update existing digital learning products, assist the team with eLearning process training, including the creation of instructional guides.

What we are looking for:

  • Background in commercial eLearning development
  • Proficiency in using content authoring tools (e.g. Articulate) is essential
  • Prior experience in working with technical/specialist learning content is preferred
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality work
  • A strong understanding of learning principles, multimedia learning, and UX design
  • Prior experience with developing and delivering successful eLearning programmes
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated creativity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning
  • Proficiency in Spanish (desired)
