The Technical Project Manager (TPM) plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful support and completion of technical projects and activities within the Engineering Function. Working within the Technical Management Function your responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks and activities, aiming to ensure that engineering projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting quality standards.
Work with stakeholders to define engineering project objectives, scope, and requirements.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project success.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential problems.
Approve and monitor any project expenditures and control costs to stay within the approved budget.
Experience in working and being a technical project lead in a fast paced, matrix and agile environment with a focus on quality.
Demonstrate high emotional intelligence to help solve problems and issues.
Demonstrable experience in project technical lead or consulting roles. 
Experience in roles in large ICT and customer-focused programmes. 
Lead technical delivery of quality and governance in multi-disciplinary teams and matrix environments.
Excellent stakeholder management, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to various stakeholder groups, including non-technical audiences. 
Knowledge of the Smart Meter Implementation Programme.
