Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst Location: Stafford, Staffordshire Salary: 22k - 28k DOE + Benefits Professional asbestos management consultancy is currently looking for a qualified asbestos lab analyst to join their Midlands team. Applicants will come from a strong asbestos lab background and will have practical experience carrying out the analysis of asbestos bulk samples in line with UKAS guidelines. Candidates based in the Midlands / Staffordshire area, locations considered include; Stafford, Stone, Stoke-on-Trent, Cheadle, Keele, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Market Drayton, Whitchurch, Uttoxeter, Cannock, Telford, Walsall, Lichfield and the surrounding areas. Experience - BOHS P401.

  • Practical experience working with an asbestos lab.
  • Working knowledge of UKAS guidelines.
  • Experience calibrating and maintaining lab equipment.
  • Experience using PLM and stereo microscopy methods.
Role:
  • Analysing asbestos bulk samples for the for the presence of asbestos.
  • Carrying out all work to professional standards including the companies internal procedures, HSG guidelines and UKAS standards.
  • Participating in internal quality assurance analysis schemes and AIMS.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy lab at all times.
  • Calibration of all laboratory equipment.
  • Results and entering on to internal databases.
  • Sending asbestos analysis reports to relevant department.
