As an experienced IT professional, you will work within the Digital Infrastructure team, leading and managing a new team of Infrastructure Technicians. With responsibility for providing support to all aspects of infrastructure, including, server, network and EUC functions. This role will work closely with our team of senior leads with a specific focus on delivery of the trusts key programmes and projects.


This is a newly created role that reflects the size and scale of work toward Enabling Infrastructure Technologies programme that will provide the foundation for the implementation of the EPR.


This will be the largest digital infrastructure deployment, in the history of the Trust, and one of our largest and most significant long-term investments.


Server & Service Technologies including: - Microsoft / Azure / Office 365 / Exchange


Microsoft Server, Active Directory, PKI, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PowerShell, AO VPN
Server and Desktop virtualisation, NSX, vRealize

Your NHS needs you
Degree level qualification in an ICT related subject or equivalent experience.
ITIL Foundation Qualification or equivalent experience of IT service management.
Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.

Project Management Qualification e.g. Prince 2 Foundation
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certification.
ITIL Expert or Capability Level qualifications Healthcare leadership qualification

Significant specialist knowledge of managing large-scale enterprise ICT infrastructure and critical systems.
Experience of Cisco and/or VMware and/or Microsoft enterprise infrastructure technology.
Experience of complex infrastructure support.
Experience in project management.
Experience developing policies and processes.

Experience of working within an NHS ICT Environment
Expert knowledge of server and networking technologies including virtualisation.
Expert knowledge of large-scale software infrastructure maintenance and support.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Knowledge and experience of managing and developing large enterprise networks.
Knowledge and experience of managing and developing large server and desktop virtualisation environments.

Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role.
Flexible approach to work outside normal office hours, when and if the need arises.
