Electrical Technician

Electrical Technician Peterborough Permanent Opportunity for overtime Duties Fabrication, installation, and documentation of cables, trays, and rack assemblies Single-phase, three-phase, high-voltage, and low-voltage electrical circuits Preparation, soldering, and termination of wire cable harnesses Using blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics Troubleshooting electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment and presenting technical solutions to address these issues. Finding problems using programmable logic controllers (PLC) and communicating with the manufacturing and maintenance team to prevent impact on the equipment. Programming instrumentation to relay information to a central HMI Testing analog inputs and outputs to ensure accurate calibration. Configuration of equipment using PLC interfaces (GE Fanuc, Allan Bradley, Siemens) Commissioning of special build equipment, electrically and mechanically. Maintaining the quality of all the products, performing incoming and outgoing quality control tests, inspections, and repair of all plant and field equipment. Live working at 400V Electrical inspection and testing (EIC, EICR and PAT) Skills City And Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations NVQ3 in electrical based units City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection Passport to safety or equivalent Experience in industrial electrical works Benefits 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays with the option to buy or sell Private Health Care Enhanced Maternity/ Paternity leave 10% Pension contribution Additional discounts etc At First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
