Public Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for our Azure Landing Zone Lab
LOCATION(S): Halifax
HOURS: Full time

Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our locations noted above.
Our core technology focus is on Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
We're seeking an experienced, motivated and innovative hands-on Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in contributing to a feature team success.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in software engineering and a passion for technology. Commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions is a must.
Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, Python, Powershell and willingness to learn advanced practices
Exposure to Devops and CI/CD Concepts (eg Harness Backstage)
Foundational knowledge of Azure LZ Services (eg storage, monitoring etc)
Implement and maintain Policy and Management Group structures under guidance , ensuring compliance and alignment with enterprise standards.
Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Backup configurations , following established patterns and contributing to resilience testing.
Configure monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to enable proactive issue detection.
Adopt an SRE mindset by applying automation and observability practices to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
Good understanding of Azure services including storage, monitoring, backup/recovery, management groups, subscriptions, networking, and firewalls.
Security-conscious engineering approach , including basic identity and access management principles and handling of keys/secrets.
Familiarity with governance tooling such as Azure Policy and ability to apply predefined policies.
Experience with platform automation for asset tracking and cost management scenarios.
Ability to collaborate with compliance and risk teams to implement technical controls based on regulatory requirements.
