Contributes to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:


Supporting UK Head of Engineering, other Heads of Discipline and Engineering Managers
Deputising for the UK Head of Engineering
Undertaking the role of process owner for Wood Operations BMS Global & UK content
Performance monitoring and reporting to senior management
Managing performance of direct reports
Managing succession planning and delivery on behalf of the discipline
Assisting in the management of recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet Engineering team requirements
Engaging with Early Careers Network supporting development
Engaging with Academic institutes developing networks and guidance on expectations


Owning & responsible for BMS content management (Operations Global & UK deployed) - improvement & maintain
Continuous promotion of Operations / client specific procedures
Setting development objectives and supporting/developing training plans
Monitoring compliance with competence standards
Setting performance expectations for discipline


Assisting in providing functional support to projects / contracts as required
Rolling out and implementation of learning opportunities from across the business
Acting as Conduit for regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
Actively maintaining own competence and continuous development
Driving workshare promotion across the business
Mechanical, I&C, Process, Structural, Technical Safety and Electrical as appropriate
Demonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and position.

Capable use of discipline software and proactively encourage development
Able to demonstrate team building skills and capable of influencing people at all levels of the organisation
Flexible with a can-do attitude
