BizClik Media is looking for an Editor in Chief to lead the exciting re-launch of our Business Chief brand as part of our growing portfolio of B2B publications. This will include helping to launch new sister titles within the Business Chief brand. This is a role that covers daily web articles, a monthly digital magazine and multi-media content, as well as helping to oversee the rest of the Business Chief portfolio.

How does the day-to-day look?

  • Take ownership and lead the Business Chief brand with responsibility for developing it both online and in the digital magazine.
  • Sourcing and writing daily web content for a global audience
  • Researching and delivering content for the magazine
  • Assisting the digital marketing team with social media accounts
  • Directing junior staff with their content and guiding freelance submissions
  • Writing commercial features with high end clients based on interviews
  • National and international travel to relevant industry events
  • Travel to interviews to assist the video production team
  • Strong writer with keen news sense, and able to write to a house style
  • Proven experience in B2B writing with senior executives
  • Attention to detail: proof-reading magazines before they are published and assisting other brand editors in quality control
  • Experience or enthusiasm to help present at company events and live online shows

You will have:

  • A degree in journalism or similar.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an editor or similar role.
  • Experience of managing, mentoring and training members of an editorial team.
  • Proven experience of content or brand strategy development and of developing a publication or suite of publications
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and a good understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to multitask and effectively drive projects forward in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • Fridays - 8.30am to 4.30pm
  • Hybrid/WFH pattern available - Tuesday and Thursdays from home.
