The post of a Data Manager / Senior Data Manager is available within the Whitehall II Study Group. The Whitehall II study (WH2) is a prestigious longitudinal cohort study investigating ageing with repeated clinical examinations based within the UCL Brain Sciences, Division of Psychiatry .
This is a senior position with the post holder being responsible for maintaining and administering the extensive WH2 databases and supporting future clinical collection. The key focus of this post is the collection, management and sharing of the Whitehall II data.
Document and curate clinical and other data and generate data dictionaries.
Prepare complex Information Governance agreements (Section 251) and manage the external data linkage process (NHS England DARS) and update in-house databases.
Handle all data sharing requests (received directly and via DPUK) and prepare any datasets that may be required by Collaborators and research consortia.
Contribute to data analyses for publications.
This post is part-time at 0.The post is available immediately for 12 months in the first instance.
This post can be offered on grade 7 as a Data Manager or grade 8 as a Senior Data Manager, please refer to the person specification for further information.
This is inclusive of London weighting allowance and pro rated for part-time.
The post holder will have significant data management experience of clinical or cohort studies and be adept at managing Access and SQL Databases. Knowledge of statistical packages such as SAS/STATA/Python/R is required.
A University degree or equivalent experience in computing or related discipline is essential for this post, and an MSc/PhD in Computing or Statistics would be desirable. The post holder will have experience of extracting and preparing datasets for statistical analyses and other data management responsibilities.
