Our team is led by practice owner and veterinary surgeon, Julie, and is made up of 6 Vets, 6 Nurses (including 2 SVNs), a Practice Manager and 1 VCA and a team of 6 reception staff. We have a wealth of experience in our vet team and have one team member doing a dental certificate. Since opening in 2017 and we have grown into a thriving practice with a loyal client base resulting in a wide variety of cases coming through to us. In addition, we welcome a visiting orthopaedic surgeon where needed so whatever your clinical interest, or if you want to start or continue a certificate, we can support this.

In practice we run standard 15-minute consults, which are extended to 30 minutes for those more complicated cases, and we also schedule in regular slots to enable you to catch up and do paperwork. We finish consults early to make sure our team can leave on time and if you don't, we offer paid overtime. We utilise the skills of our nursing team, who undertake clinics and schedule 3 procedures helping to relieve the pressure on our Vets so they can focus on other aspects of the role. We hold clinical meetings twice weekly giving opportunity to discuss cases and ensure we are working the best way possible for ourselves and our patients.

We are ideally looking for a full time experienced veterinary surgeon, however we understand that everyone is a different stage in their life and career. With this in mind if you are looking for more part time work or you are looking for a Graduate role please get in touch as we would still like to chat to you. No OOH's or on call is required.

Hamilton Vets4Pets is located on the outskirts of the town on Hamilton Palace Retail Park, just off the M74, making it well situated for anyone wishing to commute from other locations. Hamilton itself is under 30 minutes from Glasgow City Centre and under an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
