The OpportunityTo provide technicalsupport to internal and external customers on Dechra's range ofcompanion animal products by working closely with the Sales andMarketing teams.
Provide technicalsupport to the Marketing team to ensure that strategy, tactics andmarketing materials are relevant, technically accurate, industrycompliant and address UK veterinary market requirements.To includetechnical review, recommendation and copy writing.Present at CPD meetingsfor veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and veterinary students,delivering both technical and commercial messages.Work closelywith the Sales team to develop technical support plans for keypractices and accounts that will support the achievement of agreedobjectives.
Training:
Provide technical training onexisting Dechra products, new products, or new indications to ensurethat Dechra staff have sound product understanding.To include'in-field' training, coaching and support whereappropriate.
Liaise with key customers,universities, competitor companies and commercial partners.Develop and maintain knowledge of internal IT systemsincluding technical server, Pharma Technical Database and PV Works toensure that systems are up-to-date, accurate and organised, and thatdata can be easily extracted.The Veterinary Technical Advisor may berequired to undertake additional duties in line with business needs atthe discretion of the Technical Services Manager and UK CountryLeadership Team. This may involve out of office activities to include(but not exclusive to) working at alternative sites, attending companymeetings and attending congresses.
We're particularly keen tohear from those who have/are:Calm, confident, assuredcommunicatorStrong interpersonal skills - able to share knowledge anddevelop beneficial relationships with othersGood IT skills (proficientuser of Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Member of the Royal College ofVeterinary SurgeonsBroad range of current experience in, and knowledgeof, UK companion animal veterinary practiceGood knowledge of keyDechra therapy areas (endocrinology / dermatology / anaesthesia andanalgesia) with CPD focussed on these areasEnergy, enthusiasm anddeterminationHold a full UK Driving Licence
