Hours Full time - 37.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a friendly and dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with significant acute care experience to join an established team of ACP’s embedded within the unit as part of the medical team.
We would like to hear from experienced registered healthcare professionals who are critical thinkers and are passionate about transforming care within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
You will be practising under supervision as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) within their designated directorate in order to provide patient-centred quality care.
You will (under supervision of a senior clinician), assist in the safe assessment, treatment, referral and discharge of patients in their designated directorate.
Supported by the Trust, you will develop your knowledge and skills in the management of a wide array of both Trauma and Orthopaedic and medical presentations and develop a high level of autonomy. Throughout your training, you will have the opportunity for personal development in the four pillars of advanced practice.

You must have professional registration which gives you the ability to prescribe as you will be undertaking Non-medical prescribing as part of the MSc Advanced Practice at the University of Hull. Practical training within Trauma and Orthopaedics will take place during the 3 year training period.
Upon successful completion of the training programme as a Qualified ACP you will progress to AFC Band 8a.

Professional registration with either NMC or HCPC with the eligibility to complete non-medical prescribing
Level 2 Maths and English if completing apprenticeship route
Significant experience of working as a registered healthcare professional (clinical) within acute care
Willing to undertake a programme of academic and clinical training
