Practice Manager (Wealth Management) - Market Harborough

We are working with a well-established SJP practice based in Market Harborough looking to take on a new Practice Manager. They are a very successful Partner Practice of St. James Place, looking for an experienced individual to take on this challenging but exciting position. Your main responsibility will be to lead the day-to-day operations of the practice, leading all support staff across both paraplanning and administration teams to ensure the practice delivers an excellent service to their clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the operations of the practice, including administrative functions, parapanning and client service
  • Diary management for the Managing Director - contacting clients, booking meetings preparing meeting packs
  • Supervise and support a team of 5 providing guidance, training, performance feedback & helping with any issues
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to add value
  • Calling and booking meetings with prospective clients
  • Plan and execute client events
  • Liaise with St James's Place (SJP) and 3rd party providers to ensure we receive client's funds efficiently
  • Monitor the pipeline diligently and provide weekly updates on progress with a focus on high priority cases
  • Provide Management Information to the Directors during weekly meetings
  • Collaborate with financial advisors and other team members to optimise workflow and enhance client experiences.
  • Oversee client onboarding processes, account maintenance, and reporting activities.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.

     

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wealth management or financial services, with a proven track record of success in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Planning regulations
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with wealth management software platforms (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

This will be an office based position in Market Harborough.
