Commissioning Engineer (Electrical or Instrument) - Teesside
My client provides engineering services to a range of industry sectors across the process, instrument, electrical & control system integration disciplines.
Chemical Manufacturing.
* Novel Projects.
They require a commissioning engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. The role requires travel throughout the UK but will be based at their office on Teesside.
Maintaining inventory of calibration equipment.
* Be responsible for the upkeep of their workshop.
* Inspection, calibration and function checking of instrumentation and equipment on delivery and prior to shipping to client's site.
* Writing of test plans and procedures.
* Attendance at clients sites to perform inspection, testing and commissioning activities, often with other engineers but also lone working.
* Working to in house and client's stringent health & safety policies. Performing factory acceptance testing of motor control centres, switchgear and control panels at their panel builder's factory.
An instrument or electrical apprenticeship, or higher level technical qualification, with post qualification experience aligning with the requirement for potential lone working.
* Computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel. Electronic devices including mobile phones and iPads are used for completion of commissioning reports etc.
* CompEx Units 1-4.
* City & Guilds 18th Edition Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018 AMD 2)
* 50k per annum + 20% overtime.
* Working hours 08:45 to 17:00 Monday-Thursday, 08:45 to 15:45 Friday.
* 23 days holiday plus stat.
* Paid overtime.
* Paid '"on call" rota.
* Extensive travel throughout the UK with fully expensed travelling time, accommodation and transportation.
* Company mobile phone & iPad.
* 3% company pension contribution
* In addition you can be eligible for entry into the company's non-contractual performance based bonus scheme.
