Interim Head of Payroll and Pensions

Job Description:
Oliver Sanderson is engaged with a leading multinational Manufacturing business with a fantastic UK arm that you will be helping to lead as an Interim Head of Payroll and Pensions. This is a 6-month FTC with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This role reports to the Global HR Director and will manage a team of 10.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead the Payroll Team.
- Ensure high-quality and cost-effective payroll services for the entire employee lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain procedures and controls to guarantee accurate payroll processing.
- Interpret legislative changes and provide payroll advice to staff.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and year-end procedures.
- Oversee pension plans and packages.
- Lead the implementation of annual pay review cycles.
- Manage bonus plans across the organisation.
- Ensure all compensation and benefit practices comply with relevant employment laws.
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to secure favourable contracts and services.
- Extensive technical payroll and pension experience
- Proven track record of effectively leading and developing teams
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with payroll software systems, HRIS, and other relevant technology
- Comfortable using spreadsheet software for data analysis and reporting
- Strong financial acumen
Our client is looking for someone with extensive technical payroll and pension experience, including processing payroll, managing pension contributions, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You must understand the complexities of the payroll and the procedures and processes involved.
Location: Birmingham
Work Arrangement: Hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office
