Our Network Control team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Automation Team Lead.
You’ll be responsible for driving OPEX and risk reduction via the delivery of water and waste treatment automation improvements. You’ll also manage a technical team to deliver automation improvements to meet the AMP7 OPEX and ODI challenges.
Managing a team of Automation Technicians to ensure that our £1.4bn automated asset base is operating at it’s optimum.
Identifying and implementing automation improvements that will reduce cost, risk and enhance resilience within the water and waste asset base.
Mentoring and developing Operational Automation Technicians.
Provision of reactive support to complex automation issues.
Delivering automation efficiency projects in-line with the Company business plan.
Developing apprentices to ensure a constant pipeline of automation talent.
Collaborating with other UK Water Co's and recognized bodies to attain best practice.
Apart from being a great fit for the team you’ll ideally have previous experience with automation and SCADA and have demonstrated significant technical leadership within operational technologies. You’ll have experience driving cultural changes via automation and ideally be educated to a degree level or hold the relevant experience and have an IET or similar professional membership.
You’ll have strong communication and influencing skills at all levels and the ability to network externally to keep abreast of Operational Technology systems and associated control technologies.
