Technip Energies UK Operating Centre (UKOC) is a unique engineering contractor, combining the global strength of Technip Energies with a strong local presence in the UK market. We are based in numerous locations across the UK, including London and Milton Keynes, with expertise to deliver sizeable projects in the UK and abroad. Within the UK our focus is directed towards the energy market, including energy transition projects. The Senior Civil & Structural Engineer is responsible for overseeing all Civil/Structural activities on various projects. This includes the preparation or review of specifications, standards, procedures, reports, the sub-contract scope of works, planning, scheduling, progress reporting, supervision, geotechnical and site survey works, site preparation, and design of steel and concrete structures, underground services, and foundations. The position requires expertise in both disciplines as well as a comprehensive understanding of project scopes in all phases.
Prepare and check engineering procedures and standards. Proficient in preparing and checking discipline basis of design, discipline specifications, data sheets, requisitions, input for Class 3 and 2 estimates, technical bid evaluations, and detailed mechanical drawings. Provide technical recommendations on the selection of equipment to meet project requirements. Participate in project, client, and vendor meetings. Provide input to Construction Sub-contract and evaluate bids. Be prepared to travel in the UK and overseas for meetings, equipment testing, and site technical support to meet project requirements.
Typically, has a HNC or degree in design/engineering with experience in a design engineering and plant design work environment. Civil/Structural engineering and design leadership experience in both small and large FEED/EPC projects. Experience in leading multi-office projects. Experienced engineer in all aspects of Civil/Structural Engineering in the Petrochemical and/or Refinery industry. Experienced in the production of 3D models with Tekla. UK Project Experience Nice to have:
Membership of appropriate engineering institution.
