Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team within a state-of-the-art environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining complex critical plant and equipment, ensuring maximum operational throughput and minimal downtime.

Conducting Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to maintain plant and machinery to a high standard.
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing problem-solving strategies.
Proactively seeking ways to improve line performance and efficiency.
Implementing and commissioning solutions in line with PUWER risk assessments.
Performing mechanical strip and rebuilds down to component level.
Utilising workshop equipment for engineering fabrication, machining, and welding.
Supervising contractors and ensuring work complies with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and completing tasks as required.

A degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable, with a minimum of HNC Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in the food, pharma, packaging, or medical device sector is preferred.
Demonstrable mechanical aptitude in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, pneumatics, mechanical drive belts, and conveyors.
Capable of undertaking minor site facilities projects, including plumbing and heating.
