Job Title:

Marine Operations Delivery Lead

Description & Background:

At Hinkley Point C, likely to be Europe's largest infrastructure project for the foreseeable future, we are seeking a Marine Delivery Lead to join our Site Operations team. Reporting to the Site Operations Senior Marine Delivery Lead, you'll be responsible for coordinating Marine Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AILs) logistics across multiple marine facilities, including S-Shed at Bristol Port in Avonmouth and the Combwich Wharf facility. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring efficient marine operations supporting a construction workforce of circa 7,500.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily provision of critical site support services
  • Provide technical support for receipt, transportation, storage and load out of marine AILs
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and site controls
  • Interface with service partners for care and maintenance of project cargo valued over £1Bn
  • Develop and implement marine shared services plans
  • Form effective relationships with service contract partners
  • Monitor team competency and report shortfalls
  • Ensure early intervention to avoid service delivery issues
  • Develop, review and amend policies and procedures
  • Support procurement process with detailed specifications

Experience Required:

  • Degree standard education in related subject
  • Specialist technical experience in marine port operations with strong logistics background
  • Experience in port operations for Waterborne Abnormal Indivisible Loads
  • Specialist experience in heavy haulage transport and Freight Forwarding
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary team on large scale construction projects
  • Experience working with and developing budgets
  • Experience in high security environments
  • Recognized Behavioural Safety Programme certification
  • Recent IOSH accreditation (or equivalent)
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM)

Salary, Hours and Location:

  • £311 PAYE to £421 UMBRELLA per day
  • Site-based at S-Shed, Avonmouth
  • Permanent, Full-time
