We have a supportive Practice Development programme, HDU facilitators, APCP and team of nurse specialists as well as a committed and supportive Medical team.
To lead the team in assessing patient's needs, developing and implementing care plans and evaluating effectiveness on an ongoing basis.


Share knowledge and expertise with other staff including supervision of new junior and support staff.


To ensure professional standards are maintained in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.


To work closely with parents, carers and relatives to ensure indivdualised patient centred care is provided.


To obtain patient and relative feedback by undertaking clinical rounds with the aim of providing excellent standards of care.


To ensure that nursing documentation is maintained to a high standard.


The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.

Demonstrate knowledge of clinical practice and developments in nursing policy and practice
Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the principles of safeguarding children and vulnerable adult protection
Demonstrate communication skills including inter-personal skills, liaison and negotiating skills, and writing and presentation skills
Demonstrate ability in advising senior managers in relation to risk management and quality improvement.
