Finance Business Partner - Rebates & Commissions

Job Summary

This role directly supports the Business Leaders ensuring they have a full understanding of the financial impact of internal/external, commercial and operational factors impacting their area of responsibility, and ensuring accurate forecasts, revenue recognition and profitability reporting to influence decision making and help fuel growth and profitability.

This role reports directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner and works closely with Internal Stakeholders, the Financial Analysts and the Financial Controlling team.

Imagine:
  • Be a 'trusted advisor' with stakeholders to identify strategies for improvement and presenting recommendations in an influential manner, needing to communicate persuasively and articulately and have the ability to explain complex concepts to non-financial persons.
  • Provide on-time delivery of high-quality finance and performance reports to the business including astute insight, analysis and narrative to ensure the business have a full understanding of their areas of responsibility.
  • Work with the business to provide accurate budgets and monthly rolling forecasts highlighting potential risks and opportunities with suggested mitigations.
  • Ensure that all employee commissions are calculated, accrued and paid in accordance with contracts and in compliance with appropriate accounting rules and Group Accounting Policies.
  • Ensure that all Rebates are being accrued and claimed in accordance with contracts and in compliance with appropriate IFRS accounting rules and group accounting Policies.
  • Identify and work with the wider team to implement optimisation of business and finance processes, utilising the potential of existing systems (MS Dynamics) and support in the roll-out of any new systems.
  • Act as a single point of contact for Rebates and Commissions between the business and wider Financial Controlling team.

  • Support the planning and implementation of the integration of Livingstone and other future acquisitions into the Trustmarque group.
Here's what we're looking for:
  • Appropriate qualification in Finance, Business Economics or Accounting combined with 1-3 years of experience of a Finance Business Partnering role.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, and able to operate and influence at all levels within the organisation.
  • Focussed on execution with a positive, pragmatic attitude and willing to take a "hands on approach" when required.
  • The ability to identify root cause issues and recommend /implement system and process changes.
Bonus points:
  • Strong strategic and commercial awareness and experience in the IT Industry
  • Strong organisational, planning and presentation skills whilst being flexible to handle peaks in workload.
