Vicar of St Martin's West Acton and Chaplain at Twyford Church of England High School

This is an exciting full time stipendiary role. Two thirds of your time will be spent as Incumbent at St Martin’s and one third (two days a week in term time) in your work as school chaplain.

St Martin’s is a friendly, thriving church with the Eucharist at its heart, committed to serving its local community. We are looking for a vicar who:

Is pastorally gifted and will help us to grow spiritually in faith through inspiring preaching and teaching, and building on our musical heritage.

Will help us grow numerically, developing our work with children and young people.

Will work with us to expand our mission and further engage with our community, building on our established links and help us develop new connections.

As chaplain at Twyford High School you will be central to the life of the school and will work alongside the trust chaplain and chaplaincy team. Part of the role is to enable students and staff to be equipped to be confident, humble, community minded citizens. The school has a distinctively Christian ethos and is openly inclusive of those of all faiths and none within the school community.

Together, St Martin’s and Twyford offer:

A unique opportunity to shape and develop this new role.

Assistance from a self-supporting associate priest and three licenced lay ministers.

An engaged and supportive congregation and chaplaincy team.

A well-appointed vicarage in an excellent location.

The parish profile and application form are available to download from St Martin’s website by clicking the 'apply for this job' button below.

Once completed please send your application form to the Bishop of Willesden’s PA: mary.mesmain@london.anglican.org

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 29th May at 12pm
Parish visit: 11th June

Interviews: 12th June

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME), women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
