Network Engineer - 4G/5G & Telecommunications | Cambridge | 2 days on site | 50-70K
A local cutting-edge telecommunications company is seeking a talented Network Engineer with expertise in 4G, 5G, Linux, and telecommunications systems. As a vital member of the team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and exceptional service for customers.
Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain 4G and 5G network infrastructure, including base stations, routers, switches, and associated components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network architecture plans that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure optimal network performance.
Perform regular network monitoring, analysis, and optimization to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall network efficiency.
Conduct system upgrades, patches, and configurations to keep the network infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders on network-related matters.Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Network Engineer, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
In-depth knowledge of 4G and 5G technologies, protocols, and standards.
Proficiency in Linux operating systems and network administration tools.
Strong understanding of IP networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and subnetting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
