We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor on their Major Projects Team in the North West region, focussing on high profile, technically complex projects across multiple sectors.

This is a great opportunity to progress your career as a Quantity Surveyor and to be part of a talented, diverse, and supportive team.

Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Take ownership for the development and implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting.
  • As Quantity Surveyor will have full accountability for your own work packages or projects and continue to work collaboratively with our customers and industry specialists with a firm focus on added value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.
  • Contribute to the project commercial strategies and take ownership for your own subcontract packages, whilst demonstrating an understanding of the implementation of internal and external tender strategies.
  • Maximise project cashflow by effective management of subcontract packages.
  • Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular focus on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders, whilst working with the Commercial Lead to agree main and subcontract final accounts.

Requirements As Quantity Surveyor:

  • BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent commercially related subject (preferably accredited by CIOB or RICS)
  • Working towards full membership of RICS or CIOB
  • Relevant CSCS Card
