As part of the Finance and Funding Team the post-holder will primarily support the work of the funding function in respect of student support funds. engaging with students and the administration and processing of funding applications for student support funds. They may also be required to assist the wider Finance and Funding team by operating the College’s electronic finance systems. administration of the College’s sales ledger to ensure income is collected timeously and that College procedures are adhered to.
administration of the College’s purchase ledger to ensure goods and services are ordered and paid for in line with College procedures.
the provision of general financial advice and guidance, ie responding to email and telephone enquiries for the Team.
The post holder will hold an Accountancy qualification to HNC (SCQF level 7) or have equivalent knowledge and experience as an alternative to a formal qualification. They will have a working knowledge of computerised Financial Management Systems, MS Word and MS Excel.
They will also have experience of financial administration and of working in a busy customer care environment, with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively deal with staff, students and external partners.
