An exciting opportunity has become available at The West Group for the role of Production Support Coordinator. This role involves acting as the focal point of communication and enquiry with regard to all internal capacity planning enquiries and as an ambassador for the company, promoting a positive image both internally and externally. Role Overview The day-to-day responsibilities of the Production Support Coordinator include: Collate detailed packages of work to ensure the smooth flow of orders into production. Monitor schedule adherence in production and manufacturing to ensure customer EDD/UEDD is not being impacted. Monitor and support live orders to assist production supervisors in overcoming any day-to-day issues. Work with internal customer services and production management teams to highlight issues as early as possible. Run MRP to load and progress production and manufacturing work orders and alert deviance from immediate customer requirements when required, closely monitor works orders through sub-con operations, ensure processes are supportive and accurate and support the creation of the capacity plan when required. Support with analysing outstanding purchasing requirements for manufacturing and production, driving and supporting the Purchasing team to maintain needed requirements and ensuring material is available on time to start the manufacturing or production order as planned. Complete sales impact analysis on late deliveries, providing the CSD with the required information to update sales orders with new delivery information. Assist with maintaining system data such that product information is current, reliable, available to other users, and accurate at all times. Work closely with the Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Services, Purchasing and Business Development Departments to fully understand customer requirements and ensure the planning schedules are achievable and realistic; report on demand within the departments and alert to overflow and extra needs. Take an active role in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Assist in keeping a clean and tidy working environment in the interests of organisation and safety.
