Assistant Finance Manager

Permanent Office based position.

Hours of Work Monday to Friday 8.Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager for a company based in Malton, North Yorkshire.

In performing a wide range of duties across the Finance Department including planning, problem solving and operation in line with FCA and Company Group guidelines, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of the business. Working with the Senior Leadership team to improve the content of the monthly management information pack, ensuring all content is relevant. Accurately compiling the data and presenting it in the agreed format by the agreed date monthly. Analysing the data for anomalies and highlighting these as part of the pack.
Collaborate with HR to accurately prepare Payroll including pension and benefit payments for employees, providing support to staff and liaising with the payroll bureau to resolve any
company accounts by various means, including bank transfers, finance providers and card

facility.

Oversee the running of system reports and ensure accuracy of data.
Taking the lead on Credit Control, running and analysing the data of outstanding premium
Facilitating credit

control meetings and leading Credit Control interaction with Clients.

Identifying any client advisors who may need refresher training on the company’s collecting client money process and providing support with the aim to helping them manage customer payments. Identifying any process improvements and discussing these with the Finance Manager to agree any next steps.
Ensure smooth running of month end process including posting of month end reports, liaising with all departments to ensure contra’s have been cleared, pending transactions have been posted, and unallocated cash is at a minimum, plus any additional elements outlined by the Finance Manager. Accurately reconciling and making payment of insurer statements, analysing the data and liaising with insurers and brokers to resolve queries.
Working with the wider finance team look to identify operational efficiencies.
Contribute to audits as and when required.
Build mutually beneficial networks both internal and external to help with the company
Previous experience in a Finance role
AAT qualified or similar experience
