Lead Cover Supervisor - St Albans, Hertfordshire - temporary to Permanent contract - ASAP or September 2024 start. Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy supporting students' learning? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Cover Supervisor to join a school in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Tradewind is partnering with a reputable school that values excellence in education and seeks a dedicated Lead Cover Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the cover provision across the school. As the Lead Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning and supporting students' academic progress. Key Details: Permanent or long-term role: Take on a leadership position and have a lasting impact on students' educational experience.Competitive salary: The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on your experience and qualifications.
Professional development opportunities: The school offers training and support to enhance your leadership and management skills. Responsibilities: Take a lead role within the cover team, ensuring effective deployment and coordination of cover supervisors and supply teachers.
Provide cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement cover policies and procedures.
Support and mentor cover supervisors, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality provision.
Liaise with teaching staff, ensuring the smooth running of lessons and maintaining effective communication.
Monitor student behaviour and engagement during cover lessons, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. Requirements: Experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar role within a school setting.
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate cover provision effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff and students.
Confidence in delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing schedules and cover requirements.
