Global Category Manager – Temp Labour (Blue Collar)
Global Food Services | £55,000 to £70,000 + 10% Bonus + Additional Benefits
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Global Category Manager to join a leading Food Services organisation during an exciting period of expansion. This role will be leading the global category strategy for Temporary Labour where you will be working with the regional and in-country teams to support them in implementing the global strategy.
This is a brand-new role reporting into a newly appointed Global Procurement Director. The business have instructed a consultancy to evaluate the category spend and create the data required for you to design the category strategy which allows an excellent opportunity to build out a new global strategy.
In addition to a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, the company operates a flexible working model with majority of the time working at home and travel when required on a global scale, primarily across Europe & North America (c.10-20% travel).
Develop and together with regional procurement implement comprehensive global category strategies for Temporary Labour and Facility Services to drive cost savings, improve service quality, and mitigate risks.
Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with global/ cross regional suppliers and vendors in the temporary labour and facility services space.
Work closely mainly with regional procurement teams to understand the local/ regional situation, needs and supplier base within the regions
Provide guidance, support and best practice to regions on temporary labour and facility services procurement.
Min 5 years experience as a Global/ Regional Category Manager or in a similar procurement role, within ideally a decentralised global procurement organisation with focus on temporary labour and professional services
Detailed knowledge of the global temporary labour and facility services markets
Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Fluency in English; French and / or German are advantage
