Our Data Team is made up of c50 people, covering data engineering, data science, and data architecture specialisms. The team works with a range of public and private sector clients, building production grade cloud solutions focussed on streaming, graph, big data, and data science use cases.

Job Description

Due to the nature of the client engagements, every employee needs to be able to achieve Security Clearance. This means that you need to have the right to take up employment within the UK, do not have or require any visa to work, and have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years without any gap(s) totalling more than 6 months.

You should be able to easily commute to our London office. For some roles/projects, travel to the clients offices will be required and the frequency is often determined by the client.

Key responsibilities of the role are summarised below:

We are seeking an experienced Hybrid MLOps, DevOps, Dev Engineer to lead multiple projects while providing high-level strategic guidance to our clients. This role requires exceptional client-facing skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with a DevOps team of 4 and 2 MLOps engineers, advising clients on their strategic goals, and assisting them in delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of DevOps best practices
  • Working knowledge of Istio, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Events, Kubeflow, Helm, Prometheus
  • Python programming skills at the level where decorators are understood, creating libraries, and debugging with pdb
  • Strong understanding of ML models, including versioning, deployment, and training
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, such as vector stores and feature stores
  • Basic familiarity with GPUs, particularly multi-node setups
  • Experience with Docker, Linux/Mac CLI, Git, and testing
  • Strategic thinking and planning

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in DevOps
  • Fully rounded understanding in Python development
  • Extensive experience with ML model creation and deployment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

  • An interest in open source and a desire to contribute back to the community and other departments
  • Experience with one of a major cloud platform (preferability AWS, or Azure platform)
  • Demonstrable experience with modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in an Agile Delivery Team, building SRE systems (preferability Github Actions)
  • Knowledge of (IaC) Infrastructure as Code Systems (preferability Kubernetes, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of Version Control Systems (git)
  • Knowledge of GNU/Linux, and IP networking and physical networks
  • Knowledge of content inspection security controls at the boundary
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools.

  • Effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders to ensure synergy
  • Collaborate meaningfully with all parties to ensure outcomes are reached effectively

Whilst having experience in a consultancy is beneficial, demonstrable experience in working with clients/external partners in other settings will always be considered.
