The Quality Engineer will be providing support and direction across the business for all aspects of product and process quality.
Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Quality Engineer to join the Sepura Quality team.


The Quality Engineer will be providing support and direction across the business for all aspects of product and process quality within the product life cycle. To be successful, you will have a strong background in quality systems and tools and be able to demonstrate a high level of competency and technical understanding within projects, design and manufacturing.

In your role, you will be a quality authority on assigned projects, collaborating within multi-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are documented and implemented throughout the project life cycle. You will be a key enabler for ensuring Quality requirements are effectively communicated and delivered within the design and development of product and processes.


You will be able to work well in a team as well as independently, be a strong communicator and have a keen eye for detail with critical thinking and analysis.


Due to the technical requirements of the role, it is essential you have demonstratable skills knowledge when in it comes to Engineering and strong experience in delivering Quality within this environment.
Quality Engineering activities you will be responsible for include:
Contribute effectively to VOC reviews for product / project requirements, continually evaluating and improving the requirements capture process.
Analysing existing product performance data and feed improvement opportunities into new projects for scoping.
Participate in project gate reviews throughout the product lifecycle, identifying areas that represent a risk to quality, cost or supply.
Participate in FMEA, Control Plan and DFx reviews ensuring that risks are properly identified and have appropriate mitigation action in place and CTQ elements are understood at all relevant levels.
Work with the Quality, Project and Engineering teams to identify and establish quality requirements.
Produce Project Quality Plans to ensure Quality requirements are defined and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
Lead and support audits in accordance with the audit programmes and project requirements.
Support the development and continuous review of process controls and quality measures for Project and Engineering Quality.
Support and mentor other business functions in the successful use of Quality tools.
Support the creation and implementation of quality plans.
Support the team in delivering Quality assigned actions and tasks.

As part of the role, you may, on occasion, be required to travel to suppliers and contract manufacturers within our global supply chain. The successful applicant will need to be open to travelling and have a full, clean driving licence and their own car. Travel expenses will be paid.
Minimum HND in an engineering related subject (Electronics/mechanical/software) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
Certification in a recognised Quality Standard (e.g., Demonstratable knowledge of working within quality management frameworks and familiarity with the principles of the latest ISO 9001 standard.
Strong technical background with ability to carry out both proactive quality assurance activities as well as supporting control activities to ensure Quality within new product introduction.
A track record in applying best practices tools and techniques as part of developing evidence-based root cause analysis into technical and process improvements to deliver effective and permanent corrective and preventive actions.
Experience in applying a continuous improvement methodology and tools for data driven decisions within a product development environment.
Experience of implementing quality practices that demonstrate the understanding and application of industry best practices and how to apply relevant scalable processes.
Able to lead teams with good interpersonal relationship building and coaching skills.
