Job Description

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to partner with our key client, a Scottish institution, who are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organisation, providing expert financial advice and support to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, though QBE will be considered, with outstanding business partnering and analytical skills. Personality and drive is just as important as financial skills for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business units and departments to understand their financial needs and objectives, providing insightful analysis and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
  • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance against targets and benchmarks, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and contribute to business strategy and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
