The Role…
As a Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical testing activities in the test department and providing support for daily testing operations within the Workshop.
Responsibilities…
- Performs both static and dynamic electrical tests on a wide range of rotating plant from LV to HV
- Communicates well and leads by example, a “Safety first” culture
- Oversees and is responsible for electrical test records and reports
- Understands the importance of Quality “right first time” and “on time delivery” ethos
- Ensures company brand materials and physical working spaces are maintained to high standards
- Delivers exceptional customer service, answering enquiries, and assisting with customer complaints
- Responsible for equipment, tooling and plant in your area, with a focus on continuous improvement & maintenance
Who we want…
The successful applicant will possess:
- A Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical Engineering is preferred
- Relevant experience with large rotating plant systems
- Knowledge of motor and generator testing methods, including static and dynamic loading
- Strong fault-finding skills
