Job Title: CNC Miller setter Operator

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and
An innovative organisation in a specialist defence related industry is looking for a Setter, Operator to join their team. Use key skills in the development, manufacture, testing and support of the Company’s projects and development demands in a quick and efficient manner to ensure our customers’ tight timescales are met.

⦁ Immediate starts available - The successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional, preferably time-served and experienced in CNC machining within a Setter/Operator role to safely and accurately perform milling with 3, 4 & 5 axis.
⦁ You must be able to work with great concentration and attention to detail and great mechanical aptitude.
⦁ The goal is to produce high quality parts with a precision engineering environment.

Proven experience as CNC Setter, Operator
⦁ Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
⦁ Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
⦁ Computer literate with an ability to be able to edit & adjust CNC programs.
⦁ Mechanical aptitude and good math skills, with a keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
⦁ Experience of HAAS CNC machines advantageous.

Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling and milling.
⦁ Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings, mechanical drawings.
⦁ Prepare a test run to prove out both new and existing CNC programs.
⦁ Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result and inspect and measure finished products to determine if the process has been completed properly
