Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high growth Tech start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VCs, Founders, CEOs and CFOs when it comes to successfully hiring Senior Finance appointments.
Who’s the business
Zanda have been engaged by a high growth AI SaaS business as they look to identify their first VP Finance / CFO. The AI firm in question is located in Central London with small footprints globally which is highly like to become more significant in the coming years.
Having recently gone through a Series A process, the CEO is seeking a strong right-hand person to own the financial picture of the business whilst playing a key role in a range of new business opportunities with some additional to operational duties.
We are looking for a entrepreneurial yet pragmatic finance leader able build a best in class finance function, drive better commercial decision making and own future fundraising efforts.
What experiences will you gain
The position will be very "hands on", with the opportunity to work closely with VC's, work on a future Series B round, provide commercial analysis on trends, forecasting & budgeting, implementing a new software, refining the reporting process and month end.
Producing financial models on future deals, additional revenue streams and the upcoming Series B will also be part of this position. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to create board packs and scale up a finance & accounting team as they look to grow. There will be a wider remit in this position, in acting at times as a COO, in overseeing HR and Legal.
What background should have before you press apply
You will be an qualified professional (ACA,CPA,CIMA,ACCA), with experience of working for a high-growth SaaS or AI business most recently. Your ability to translate large volumes of data and make conclusions, in providing senior management with steer will be crucial.
An overall background and expertise across controls, commercial analysis and driving efficiencies will be required. Understanding of "Unit Economics" and what a business needs to do, to grow, is imperative. Alongside this experience of working closely with a Founder and steering commercial efforts will be very useful.
