The Opportunity - MLA College is expanding its team to develop new distance-learning programs aligned with its growth objectives. Emphasising employability, student engagement, and experience, we seek academic staff with professional practice and scholarly backgrounds. Preference is for candidates with experience in Maritime Engineering or Engineering Management, but all Engineering backgrounds are welcome. The position is based in Plymouth, UK, supporting both existing and new trans-national degree programs, with occasional international travel expected. Qualifications and training:
PhD or high-level professional experience in relevant discipline (essential)
Relevant teaching qualification for higher education (desirable)
Broad or deep specialist knowledge in discipline to contribute to teaching programs (essential)
Understanding of equal opportunity issues in academic content and student needs (essential)
Contemporary knowledge of teaching methods for program design, development, delivery, and assessment (desirable)
Ability to initiate, develop, and deliver high-quality ,engaging teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (essential)
Familiarity with various learning promotion and assessment strategies (essential)
Willingness to engage in continuous professional development (essential)
