Senior Associate or Legal Director – Asset Finance - Yacht and Superyacht team – London

The role would suit an experienced Asset finance lawyer who is also capable of giving practical corporate and commercial advice when required to a range of clients operating in the superyacht sector. Whether acting for banks or borrowers, you should be familiar with everything from term sheets to loan documentation, conditions precedent and subsequent as well as having a thorough grasp of the mechanics of drawdown and their impact on the transaction.

The opportunity will vary from advising banks and borrowers in relation to the sale and purchase of superyachts to advising on ownership structures as well as general management issues as well as supply contracts.

  • Previous Experience: Ideally previous experience of asset finance especially in relation to luxury assets such as yachts and / or private jets
Acting for lenders and borrowers on full range of transactions relating to luxury assets

The successful candidate will act for lenders or borrowers on all aspects of the transaction. With an established international client base, the team advises a wide range of operators including:

  • Yacht owners;
  • Financiers;
  • Brokers;
  • project managers; and
  • designers.
This leading team specialises in yachts and other luxury assets. Given the client base, applicants will be expected to have excellent client skills. The Partners are looking for a bright individual with a strong academic profile and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
