I am currently working with a school based in Durham who are currently hiring cover supervisors for Maths for long term contracts. The School Based in Durham, DH1 Rates ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED Massive school, housing 1600 students 5 core values, academic excellence, acquiring knowledge, social justice, public service and diverse opportunities. Recognise students backgrounds Trustworthy, wise, kind, optimistic and fair Specific subject knowledge and an awareness of Britain and the wider world are hugely important as students develop and learn Wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances, diversity is one of their greatest strengths The Role To supervise whole classes Working with KS3/KS4 The Cover Supervisor will give instructions for the lesson as provided by the teacher Primary focus of the role will be to maintain good order and keep pupils on task Response to general questions Provide feedback to teachers Supervise pupils engaged in learning activities Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct and behaviour Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils in the lesson Deal with any problems or emergencies according to the schools policies and procedures Provide objective and accurate feedback to the teacher on the conduct of the lesson Keep appropriate records as agreed with the teacher Provide administrative support to the department where required The Candidate Must be confident and comfortable working with students DBS on update service is not essential, if not we can apply for one for you and then can be uploaded to the service Must have sports coaching background Relate well to students Good at building rapports Right to Work in the UK Good communication skills Will have the ability to develop and maintain a productive learning environment and have good behaviour management skills In Return Market leading pay scale for all our employees Friendly and dedicated consultants who provide round the clock support in your new role Our ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme Once registered, refer your friend and you will both receive £100 cash once the referral has worked 10 days with us If you are interested in the role, please submit your CV or email your CV to .
