Ceres Holographics is at the forefront of developing Holographic Displays for exciting new applications, particularly in the automotive sector. We are developing new paradigms for in-car displays, including Holographic Transparent Displays. These will transform the driver and passenger experience, turning a car from a mobility tool into a fully connected information and entertainment environment.

We have developed unique capability around holographic applications and the manufacturing toolset, including digital holographic mastering and high-volume roll-to-roll holographic replication. We are further building the engineering team to succeed with these opportunities, and scaling for success with global customers.

Models of system and component level performance
• Ceres has developed unique technology to design, print, replicate and test holograms for a range of industries, including automotive, trucking, agricultural, construction and consumer electronics. We have developed the capability to design and manufacture large format, optically flexible holographic optical elements, at scale. The candidate will work closely with our expert engineering and operations teams to accomplish this. They will also deal with suppliers, contractors, and customers where appropriate.

The Optical Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and be based at our newly developed site in Livingston, Scotland.

The ideal candidate is likely to be degree qualified in a technical subject, such as Physics, Laser Engineering, or a similar technical discipline. It is anticipated that they will hold a higher degree such as a PhD in a relevant field, although this is not mandatory.

Experience with any of the following subjects is directly relevant, in an academic or industrial environment:

• Additional experience in other fields, such as electronics, process development or manufacturing engineering will be considered favourably.
