Be-IT are working with a well-known Scottish organization to recruit a Cyber Security Consultant on a full time, permanent basis.

This role offers hybrid working with an office located in Glasgow. Two days a fortnight on site expected.

The role:

  • Manage large-scale security projects, coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments of systems, networks, and applications.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and threats within the organizations security posture.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to enhance security defenses.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on best practices for securing systems and data.
  • Support the implementation of security controls and solutions.
  • Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address issues identified through penetration testing.
  • Assist the Cyber Security team with any relevant security concerns.
  • Support the GRC team in drafting and updating policies and standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least five years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring Cyber Security team members.
  • Expertise in implementing solutions that align with NIST CSF, CIS v8.0, and CE+ standards.
  • Ability to work effectively under the direction of the Security Advisory Manager.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure.
  • Proficient in completing project documentation in accordance with established processes.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and third parties.
